I’ve been looking into internet savings accounts lately. I’ve had enough of big local banks. Lousy rates and high fees - why stick with them? It’s time for a change, so I’m going to try something new. I’m particularly fed up with earning .5% interest for the privilege of lending my money to the bank. Enough is enough. Especially in light of the sorts of rates the same banks charge you when they lend you money. Check out banks with high yield savings for example. Their rates are way higher than anything you can get at the big corporate banks. And banking online is easier than dealing with lines at tellers anyway. Frankly, I couldn’t care less about meeting a banker in person. I’d much rather do my banking online with a click or two than wait in line at the branch. So, it was the end of another week, and as we talked about the week that was, me with all of my woes and him with all of his gains. Opposites, really, that is what that was all about. My Employer was just a Pain in the Arse, that's about all. Whereas he was all smiles, about his boss. Coz he Was the Boss. Self Employed, that is. A bit up and down, but is all part of the "Game" as he put it once. It was something like his sixth career, in his long working life. Now, his latest challenge was in the Mortgage Market, giving out lots of expert financial advice, from the Firm that had trained him to represent them to the public.
Sometimes he did quite well, other times he wished that he was back on Wages. Overall, I still reckon that he was doing better than I was, in my day job. I'd have to admit that his day started sometime after mid-morning and went well into the evening, whereas mine generally didn't. Or I got paid Overtime to carry on into the early evening, a bit. But that's the way I like it.
My shiny new wireless Internet notebook arrived today. I spent a lovely afternoon working at my local Starbucks. Yeah yeah, cliche I know, but it was so nice to get out of the house. I was beginning to look like the belly of a fish after all these days spent in my dungeon of an apartment.
I honestly don’t know how I got along before the invention of Laptop Wireless Connection. Now I can work anywhere. Being able to work from home is great and all, but it gets old fast when there’s no one around to keep you company.
Of course knowing my luck mine will get stolen 3 days after I buy it, or I’ll spill coffee on it the day after the warranty runs out. But oh well. It will be worth it all the same.

I’ve had enough of working in other people’s salons, giving up such a big chunk of my income. It’s time to go out on my own. I’m checking out used beauty salon equipment as an option to help get started.
I’ve managed to find a good source of Used Salon Stuff at least. That’s a good start. If I can find sources for the rest, I might just have enough money to get started.
I’m really hoping I can find a way to finance this that makes sense. I want to get started sooner rather than later.

I am not a collector of any kind. I do not get something to gaze upon it lovingly behind a glass partition. For me, if I were to be in possession of, let us say, a bunch of jls numismatics, I would be looking to sell, but that is just me. Some people however are not to concerned with how much money their collections are worth.
